Maui booked!
A few days ago I booked my flights to Maui. It is the third year in a row I am going there. Last year I was there for three months and it was a great experience, and this year I will go for a month leaving Sweden the 20th of March and going back on the 19th of April. I'm super stoked to go there again since I really do love sailing at Hookipa and all the other spots around the island. The level on the sailors over there is very high and that makes me progress faster. It will also be great to meet up with the awesome crew behind my sail sponsor Hot Sails Maui, try sails and get more understanding in sail design.
This year my girlfriend Emma can't come with me wich is a bit sad. Instead I'm travelling with my partner Gustav in Macg Productions. We will be shooting a lot and I hope and think we will get some nice edits, pictures and short clips online during our stay, so make sure you stay tuned!
Pwa Cold Hawaii is over
Pwa Cold Hawaii Day 6, super session
Today the super session got sailed. The wind was light and there were three heats before the 6 men final. I did some nice forwards but didn't manage to beat Kauli Seadi and Victor Fernandez who advanced from my heat. But I'm happy just to have done my first super session ever!

Pwa Cold Hawaii Day 3
Yo!
Yesterday was the third day of Kia Cold Hawaii Pwa Wirkd Cup. It was a strong onshore wind that wellcomed us at 07.00. The singel were runed and Tohmas Traversa came out on top.
Then it was time for the double. I was up against Martin F-193. I sailed good and manage to win. In my next heat I lost against Gobich with just 2,25 points.... Anyway I'm super happy to get thru one round in my first Pwa event!

Today it is windy in Klitmöller! The double will get started soon and I'm super exited to go sailing!

Pwa Cold Hawaii day 1

Yesterday was the first day of Kia Cold Hawaii Pwa World Cup. I didn't manage to get thru in my first heat against Alessio Stillrich who saild really good in the light wind! But I had fun and it is nice to have done my first pwa heat...
It looks like there will be wind this afternoon and tomorrow, so hopefully the will finish the singel and maybe even start the double today. I feel really motivated for my next heat and will do my absolute best!

Idag är det första dagen här på Red Bull Soulwave. Det är många som är med och det verkar bli en tuff tävling... Prognosen ser lovande ut för vindsurf imon, så idag sätter förhoppningsvis sup-stegen igång om vågorna ökar lite.

Maui Sum Up

Nu är jag och Emma hemma i Sverige igen. Efter lite strul i incheckningen gick resan problemfritt.
Det känns ganska skönt att komma hem men suget att åka tillbaka till Maui kommer redan...
Resan har varit riktigt lyckad! Det har blivit en massa surf då det har varit en av de blåsigaste vårarna
på länge enligt localsen, och efter 50 sessions känner jag att jag har blivit en bättre seglare. Jag har blivit mycket stabilare,
fått mer power i mina manövrar, lärt mig nya trick och fått mer självförtroende i större vågor.
Det känns också riktigt kul att ha börjat jobba närmare med Hot Sails Maui och jag ser fram emot att utveckla det ytterliggare i framtiden.
Jag har kört mycket på Firelight som är ett grymt segel jag starkt rekomenderar! Jag kommer sakna Maui och Hookipa men det ska bli skitkul att köra här hemma igen! Hoppas det blir en blåsig sommar med mycket ladd!
Now me and Emma are back home in Sweden. Exept some hustle during the check in we had an smooth jurney.
Our three months on Maui has been super good. We have done alot of fun stuff and it was super windy. I had 50 sessions and I feel that I have improved alot. Now I have more power in my moves and got more stable in general. I have also started working closer with Hot Sails Maui. I am stoked about the sails and the crew and are looking forward to work closer to them in the future! I have been sailing alot on Firelight and it is an amazing sail which I strongly recommend! Now I am looking forward to a windy summer here in Sweden hopefully.
Thanks to everyone, especially my girlfriend Emma, who made this trip unforgettable.

Nu har dessa tre månader på Maui gått och det är dags att flyga hem. Känns segt att lämna det softa livet är men det ska ändå bli skönt att komma hem till svedala igen. Skriver ihop en liten sammanfattning i ett annat inlägg så stay tuned!

Healing
Får några dagar sen var det äntligen lite vågor igen. Jag körde hela dagen och hade riktigt kul tills jag skulle gå upp. För första gången fukkade jag upp det i shorebreaket och vipps så hade jag skurit mig på en fena. Såret är ganska djupt så jag har fått hålla mig ur vattnet sen dess. Men, jag kan trösta mig med att jag fick en riktigt skön dag på vattnet innan det hände! :)

A couple of days ago we finally got some waves again here in Maui. I had a super fun day at Hookipa, but when I was going out off the water I messed it up in the shore break and cut myself on one of my fins. It is a pretty deep cut so I have been out of the water for a couple off days but will soon be sailable again! :)

Här på Maui rullar livet på i snabb takt. Har bara två veckor kvar och tiden har gått riktigt fort.
Det senaste har det varit dåligt med vågor så jag och Emma har gjort en del annat. T.ex La perouse, Maui ocean aquarium, snorkeltripp till molokini mm. Kolla bara in de grymma bilderna som Emma har tagit!
It has been pretty flat the last days here in Maui. So, we have done some other stuff, like traking in La Perouse, snorkeling in Molokini, checking out the Maui Ocean Aquarium and more.

Enjoying Life
Hookipa, Sprecks and smashed board
Vinden fortsätter att blåsa här på Maui, men vågorna har börjat försvinna lite. Det senaste har det som vanligt blivit mest segling på Hookipa men igår lyckades jag dra mig till Sprecks. Full macka i 4,1 och hyffsade hoppramper. Dock var det väldigt grunt på sina stället och efter ca en timmas segling satte jag nosen i botten och fick en härlig ding på brädan. Så idag fick det bli lagningsverkstad på kuau plaza istället för segling. Ett stort tack till Fredrik som sympatiköpte ett lagningskit till mig när jag berättade att helst inte vill dinga brädan mer då mitt har börjat ta slut! :)

It is still windy in Maui, but the waves are disapering a little. I have mostly sailed hookipa, but yesterday I went to Sprecks. It is a nice spot but pretty shallow and after a while I landed with my nose in the bottom. So, today I had to fix my board insted of sailing... :P
